Considering this massive influence of the genre, Insights Network carried out this survey to gauge the thoughts of our users on a wide variety of questions.

Interesting Findings

Almost half of those surveyed were a fan of superheroes, 43.27%, with only 16.20%, choosing an unfavorable opinion.

Unsurprisingly, Superman was the favorite superhero, 18.84% selecting Clark Kent as their choice. Batman came second with 12.03% of the survey with 4.15% choosing they don’t like superheroes.

Over half, 53.32% said they had read comic books at one point, with 12.39% stating they’ve never read any comic books.

If given a choice, the majority of participants, 30.41%, would have to bring peace to the world, as their chosen superpower. Reversing time was second with 23.91%, and 12.29% chose none of the above.

Around a third of people, 34.31% were fans of superhero movies, while 29.80% were not big fans of such films.

The upcoming final Avengers film is set to be one of the most anticipated movies ever, and 39.02% agree, not being able to wait for the release. 32.21% were not so excited about the film.

The Avengers was most participants favorite Marvel film, 28.93% choosing the blockbuster.

While Batman vs. Superman was the top pick for DC produced movies, taking 19.20% of the survey.

Perhaps not shockingly, the majority of surveyors preferred Marvel films to DC films, 39.47% picking their side.

One of the most intriguing questions regarding the final Avengers film is whether or not the great hero Captain America himself, will have his final goodbye. There is a split among the participants with essentially a third of people choosing between yes, no and not sure.
